Knifeman attacks and robs retired British expat at his own home in Spain’s Andalucia leaving him hospitalised

BRAZEN: The robber took €550 from the pensioner after walking through the front door of his house in Mollina and beating him up

A BRITISH pensioner has been beaten up and robbed of €550 at knifepoint in his own home.

The retiree was ‘violently’ attacked by the thief who entered the property in Mollina through the open front door.

When the unidentified man resisted his attacker pinned him to the wall and pressed a knife to his neck, according to Guardia Civil sources.

The robber made off with the cash before being identified and arrested by police the following day.

He now faces charges of violent robbery and intimidation, and apparently has ‘numerous criminal records’ for similar crimes.

The pensioner was hospitalised with severe head trauma and several bruises, while his attacker has been immediately imprisoned.
