A BRITISH pensioner has been beaten up and robbed of €550 at knifepoint in his own home.
The retiree was ‘violently’ attacked by the thief who entered the property in Mollina through the open front door.
When the unidentified man resisted his attacker pinned him to the wall and pressed a knife to his neck, according to Guardia Civil sources.
The robber made off with the cash before being identified and arrested by police the following day.
He now faces charges of violent robbery and intimidation, and apparently has ‘numerous criminal records’ for similar crimes.
The pensioner was hospitalised with severe head trauma and several bruises, while his attacker has been immediately imprisoned.
