Police stop suspected child kidnapper in Malaga

A DANISH woman accused of child abduction has been stopped by the Policia Nacional in Malaga airport.

The 28-year-old was arrested on board an aircraft destined for Gambia which had stopped in Malaga to refuel.

Authorities managed to apprehend the woman after an exchange of information between the Danish and Spanish authorities.

The detainee was travelling with two children aged 5 and 6 who have now been placed in temporary accommodation in Malaga.
