VALENCIA CF footballer, Rafa Mir, has been arrested for an alleged sexual assault on a woman aged 25.
A friend of Mir’s was also detained by the Guardia Civil for sexually assaulting a 21-year-old female.
The alleged incidents happened at a private party at Mir’s villa following Saturday’s La Liga match between Valencia and Villarreal.

The Guardia Civil arrested the 27-year-old striker at his home on Monday.
He was then taken to their Valencia headquarters where he spent the night in a prison cell.
A short statement from Valencia CF said: “The club is aware of Mir’s arrest and in the absence of any details, it can only state that it will collaborate in everything that justice may require,”
Two women filed a complaint on Sunday and gave statements before being examined at a hospital.
The Guardia plan to take statements from everybody at the party after a report that a third person may have been inappropriately touched.
The probe has been declared as secret by the investigating judge.
Mir, who had spells at Wolves and Nottingham Forest, has his roots strongly in the Murcia region, having been born in Cartagena.
He was brought up in the Javali Nuevo district of the region and had a local football ground named after him in 2021.
