It suggests the DANA or Gota Fria will affect ‘large’ parts of Andalucia with suggestions that Estepona, Marbella and Funegirola could be in the firing line.
Moderate easterly winds are expected on the coast of Almeria, with light variable winds across the rest of the region.
Aemet’s Malaga head, Jesus Riesco, said temperatures from Wednesday will fall generally between three and five degrees in inland Andalucia with values ‘much lower compared to the the episodes of heat in previous weeks’.
Other parts of Spain will start getting a notable drop in temperatures from Thursday but without any significant change on the east coast like in Alicante province.
That region is expected to have increased cloud on Friday with a chance of thundery showers inland, with Aemet not ruling out that they could appear randomly on the coast.
Coastal winds will be moderate north-easterly wind, veering light to moderate east inland.
