EasyJet to launch five new routes between the UK and Spain

BUDGET airline EasyJet has announced it will run five new routes between the United Kingdom and Spain.

The services will be launched next winter and summer.

The carrier is opening a base at London-Southend airport in March and will run new flights to Tenerife South, Gran Canaria, Almeria and Reus.

Before then- in December- it will open a route between Edinburgh and Gran Canaria.

The Edinburgh service will run weekly every Saturday starting on December 7.

EasyJet’s London-Southend base will have three aircraft and will kick-off its new summer routes with a thrice-weekly service to Gran Canaria from March 30.

April 1 will see the start of three weekly flights to Tenerife South, as well as a bi-weekly schedule to Almeria and Reus.

This year saw EasyJet open a seasonal base at Alicante-Elche airport operating between April and October.

Three planes are based at Alicante with new routes linking up with Glasgow, Belfast, and Southampton with a 10% increase on seat availability compared to the 2023 summer season.
