AN Elche Policia Local officer opened the door of a city grocery store on Monday and was greeted by the sight of a shirtless man riding a horse.
The stunned policeman made a gesture to the rider to leave the premises and his steed responded to his clicking noise to vacate the shop.
The incident was recorded on video with the officer motioning for him to dismount and then they exchanged a few calm words.

The man left the horse outside while he popped back into the store twice but did not appear to have bought anything.
He then mounted his steed and galloped down the street, with apparently no charges being brought against him.
No tempers were frayed between the police officer and rider.
The man is apparently known to the Elche Policia Local which explained why he was not asked for any identification.
The law forbids anybody entering a food store on horseback but it is not known whether any charges have or will be made.
