The Guardia said that her fall was ‘apparently accidental’.

Ambulances, the Sant Antoni Policia Local, and the Guardia Civil were called to the scene.

Despite work by the paramedics, the injuries sustained by the fall were too severe for them to save the tourist.

A coroner certified her death and her body was removed at 5.30am.

No further details have been supplied about the victim and who she was travelling with.

She is the second British holidaymaker to fall to their death at a Balearic Islands hotel within the last few days.
