Estepona’s plans for a huge park and new underground parking are one step closer

PLANS for a huge park and underground car park have moved forward in Estepona.

The Ayuntamiento de Estepona has moved forward plans to build the Bulevar Parque Central, a new park which will connect the town hall and paseo maritimo.

A committee has now approved the plans, with a budget of €17,332,445,52 (including VAT) and a timeline of 18 months.

The new project will take place between Avenida San Lorenzo and Avenida España.

It will also include commercial spaces and a 300 place underground car park with electric car charging points.

Like the other car parks in Estepona, it will cost €1 a day.

The project will be carried out by Innovaciones Tecnicas y Recursos Constructivos, S.A.

It is believed they offered the most economical option while reducing the building time by two months.

The 22,000 metre squared area is hoped to be a ‘reference point for sustainable, quality urban tourism.’
