The assault on the 21-year-old woman happened after 3.30am on August 7.
The woman was having some drinks with friends at a wine bar and then went back to her holiday home.
The suspect approached her en route and had a brief chat with her.
Sources told the Ultima Hora newspaper that the man took advantage of the fact that the woman had been drinking and that the area was empty.
He touched her inappropriately without her consent.
She managed to get away and filed a complaint with the Guardia Civil.
Officers interviewed members of the Andratx Fishermen’s Association who confirmed the man’s identity based on the victim’s description.
His boat was moored just 15 metres from the wine bar that the Brit had visited before the assault.
