Extreme heat claims another young life in Spain: Man, 36, is found dead on a road in Sevilla

A 36-year-old man has died from heat stroke in southern Spain.

The unnamed victim was found lying on a dirt road in Dos Hermanas, Sevilla, on Sunday.

Temperatures in and around the town that day had exceeded 40C.

According to Diario de Sevilla, the man was found on the outskirts of the town.

Following an autopsy, medical experts were able to confirm that he died of heat stroke.

The victim had a ‘sensory disability’, but no further details have been released.

Policia Nacional have launched an investigation.

It follows a string of deaths of relatively young people from heat stroke this month.

Last week, a man in his 40s collapsed and died while walking through a park in the centre of Madrid.

Earlier this month, a 20-year-old gardener suffered a heart attack while working in extreme heat in a garden in Mallorca.
