Two British tourists ‘are raped on the beach’ in Mallorca in separate incidents just days apart

HORROR in Mallorca as two British tourists ‘raped on the beach’ in separate incidents in just over a week.

Two British tourists have been raped and robbed on Mallorca beaches in separate attacks just eight days apart.

The first incident took place in Magalluf at around 4am on July 24.

The victim had been out with friends but became separated from them and ended up ‘lying on the ground’ on Calle Punta Ballena.

It is alleged that a Senegalese street seller picked her up and took her to the beach.

He is said to have raped her and stolen her phone.

The woman reported the assault and robbery to the Guardia Civil shortly after.

She remembered little of the incident, but Guardia agents have been investigating in partnership with Calvia Police to examine CCTV recordings.

Just over a week later, on August 1, another British tourist was raped on a Mallorca beach.

The 30-year-old female told detectives she agreed to go to the beach early on Thursday morning with a man she met while wandering the area.

She agreed to have sex with him before a second man appeared and forced himself on her.

They then fled the beach, near Palma, with her belongings.

According to Ultima Hora, she had accepted the man’s offer of ‘free drugs’ before going to the beach with him.

It is alleged they agreed to have consensual sex on the sand before the situation took ‘an unexpected turn’ with the second man’s surprise arrival.

The woman was taken to Son Espases Hospital in Palma for a routine check after she reported the incident to police.

She is now believed to be back in London.

It is not known if she has ratified her complaint in court in front of a judge before flying back to the UK.

According to local reports, she was ‘visibly affected’ and ‘in a state of shock’.

So far, not much is known about the perpetrators.

Earlier this year, Mallorca police arrested a man accused of raping a British woman on a Magaluf beach.

The victim claimed a 20-year-old man she met during a night out in Palma Nova forced himself on her.

Last year, a British 18-year-old was allegedly gang-raped in a Magaluf hotel on August 14.

Five French nationals and a Swiss man were arrested and remanded in jail.

A judicial investigation is ongoing and two more suspects are being held in France on European Arrest Warrants.
