THE body of a 31-year-old has been found floating in a private pool in Murcia.

The unnamed woman was discovered by her friends late on Sunday night.

The tragic events took place at a finca located between the towns of El Jimenado and Torre Pacheco.

According to the Emergency Coordination Centre of Murcia, the 112 hotline received a call from the property at around 11pm.

The caller said her friend had disappeared from the property they were staying in.

The woman called again at 11.16pm to say she had discovered her friend in the pool, unconscious.

Paramedics rushed to the scene but could only confirm her death.

Two women and a man, aged between 31 and 34, had to be treated for shock.

A routine investigation has been launched to determine what led to the young woman’s death.
