A NORWEGIAN woman has been arrested on the Orihuela Costa for allegedly stabbing her husband to death in front of their three young children.
The family had been on holiday since May, staying on the PAU-9 Garbanzuel urbanisation close to the municipal border with Torrevieja.
The woman, 49, phoned emergency services at 1.35am on Friday to say that she had got into an argument with her partner.

She stated that after being attacked, she acted in self-defence by plunging a kitchen knife at least three times into him, witnessed by their children aged 6, 8, and 10.
The woman told the operator that she believed that her husband, 45, was dead.
Paramedics were unable to do anything to save the man’s life while she was treated for her injuries and arrested by the Guardia Civil.
She was then taken to Torrevieja Hospital where she was scheduled to have surgery following an arm injury.
The children were transferred to a reception centre before family members who also live on the Orihuela Costa were located to look after them.
The husband’s body was taken to the Institute of Legal Medicine in Alicante, where an autopsy was scheduled to be performed on Friday morning.
The Civil Guard has no record of any domestic violence reports involving the couple, but are investigating whether there had been any complaints filed in Norway.
