British tourist is stabbed in the stomach during early morning attack near major resort in Spain

A BRITISH tourist has been stabbed in the stomach during an early morning attack near a major Spanish resort. 

A 22-year-old British tourist has been hospitalised in a serious condition after he was attacked with a sharp weapon in the early hours of this morning. 

The attack occurred in Arona, southern Tenerife at around 06:30 am. 

Emergency services 112 received a call to go to Avenida Antonio Dominguez Alfonso, reporting that a male had been hurt following an attack with a sharp weapon. 

Once at the scene, they treated and stablised the young man before transferring him to the Hospital Universitario Nuestra Señora de Candelaria with a serious abdomen wound. 

Policia Nacional are also investigating the incident.
