Missing British tourist is found alive in Spain after vanishing from Mallorca almost two weeks ago

MISSING: Benjamin Ross vanished from Mallorca on July 10

A BRITISH trainee barrister who went missing 12 days ago on the Balearic island of Mallorca has been found alive and well, although he has received treatment for dehydration and exhaustion.

Ben Ross, 26, went missing from Mallorca’s capital, Palma, on July 10.

He had arrived on the island to visit a friend in June, but decided to stay for the summer once he found a temporary job, according to a report in the Daily Mail.

But he lost his keys, phone and wallet on July 6 when he took a swim in the sea, and then reportedly had a falling out with his flatmates just before he disappeared.

Ben has reportedly faced prior struggles with his mental health.

On Monday, he finally reappeared at the British consulate in Palma, in a state of exhaustion and dehydration.

Mystery still surrounds where he has been for the last nearly two weeks.

Ben’s mother, Felix Robinson, raised the alarm on July 13 and prompted several appeals to locate his whereabouts.

In recent days she has been searching the island in a desperate bid to locate her son.

They were reunited yesterday at the consulate, the Daily Mail reported.

In a statement, Ben’s mother said: “I’m so incredibly grateful for all the help and support we’ve received.

“Everyone has been truly incredible. We are so relieved to have found him and are now focused on getting him back to full health and home safe and well,” she said.
