HOLLYWOOD legend Michael Douglas will turn 80 this coming September 25, but judging by the latest video he shared via his Instagram account, he is already celebrating.

On Monday, the Oscar-winning star of Wall Street was at what he described as ‘a village celebration for people turning 80!’, in the streets of Valldemossa on the Balearic Island of Mallorca, where he has a home.

The fiesta that he was attending is known in the local mallorquin language as the gent gran, which translates to ‘older people’.

These popular events include a homage to seniors in their eighties, with regional dances, lunches for attendees with local food and concerts.

“I’m celebrating my 80th birthday with the people,” Douglas says at the start of the video on Instagram, where he currently counts on some 1.7 million followers.

There were plenty of responses to his post, including from some very happy Spaniards.

“Congratulations! This is the real Mallorca, wonderful!” wrote one user.

“Palma de Mallorca! Beautiful!,” wrote another. “I’ve just recognised it by the local folkloric group.”

Douglas’s property on the Balearic island is located in the same municipality of Valldemossa, in the S’Estaca area.

He can often be seen spending time there along with his wife, the actress Catherine Zeta Jones.

The mansion counts on eight different buildings, a library, a multimedia room, a wine cellar, spa and a swimming pool, according to Spanish daily El Pais.
