ONE of the many highly-anticipated events in this year’s Olympic Games-which start in Paris this Friday- will be on the tennis court.
That will see the pairing of two generations of the Spanish game in the shape of Rafa Nadal and Carlos Alcaraz.
The duo will be waving the flag for Spain in the doubles and have attracted a lot of attention in the Olympic Village.

Both players have created a pleasant commotion in the dining area with non-stop requests from participants, volunteers, and organisers for selfies- be they together or individually.
For Mallorca’s Nadal, it will be his fourth Olympics as he tries to win his third gold medal, while Alcaraz, 21, from Murcia will be enjoying the world’s greatest sporting for the first time- on the back of retaining his Wimbledon title.
The Roland Garros clay courts will be familiar to 14-time French Open winner Nadal and his young successor, Alcaraz, who won his first French title in May.
Certainly if all the photos are anything to go by, both men are enjoying their Paris Olympic experience so far.
