It will have three levels covering 300 m2 with bathrooms and bedrooms plus a centrepiece dining room stretching for 100m2.

The terrace area occupies 100m2 which will become the largest hotel terrace in the city.

The finishing touches to the penthouse are being put together and with the high charge, it aims to attract high-end guests staying with their families and possible entourage.

The triple level suite will be in effect the rooftop of the Torre Melina hotel with panoramic views of the Barcelona skyline.

The penthouse will also be available for hire to host corporate events and celebrations.

The hotel itself reopened in January after being closed for five years and boasts four different restaurants plus a spa and fitness centre.

It is also marketing itself as a conference host venue.
