A MAN allegedly killed his wife with a shotgun on Sunday and then took his own life at their home in the El Postiguet beach area of Alicante.
The incident joins a tally of four other women killed by their partners over the weekend in Salou, Sabadell, Madrid, and Buñol- also in the Valencian Community.
The Policia Nacional found the bodies of the couple on Calle Virgen de Socorro at around 11pm after a call from a concerned relative that they were not answering their phone.

The Buñol killing happened in the early hours of Saturday on the Venta Mina urbanisation.

Authorities said there was a ‘frantic’ chase before the suspect was apprehended on the bridge over the V-30 close to Avenida de Cid.
