Calvia officers went to the unnamed restaurant at around 1am on Tuesday to deal with a young female tourist who was unconscious due to heavy drinking and a fall.
While waiting for an ambulance, the two officers dealt with a brawl that started outside the premises with the British man lying on top of another tourist who he was continually assaulting.
The teenager turned his attention to the officers and grabbed one of them by the arm, and when another came to help him, a female officer was shoved to the ground and the Brit began to hit her.
The officers with some effort managed to handcuff him, with the female officer suffering bleeding on both her knees and an elbow.
The British man is staying in a Magaluf hotel and was brought before a judge on Tuesday.
He was granted bail, but on the proviso that he can only leave Mallorca until he pays for the damaged phone.
