Finnish man, 48, is found dead after disappearing during a hike on the La Concha in Marbella

A HIKER has been found dead after disappearing on the La Concha mountain in Marbella.

The man, from Finland, 48, vanished during an excursion at around 11.55pm last night.

A large search operation was mounted by the Guardia Civil, including a helicopter.

Tragically, the body of the hiker was found without signs of life at around midday today.

He was discovered near the peak of the mountain, by the municipal border of Ojen.

According to Area Costa del Sol, the man had parked his car in the Juanar parking lot.

The alarms were raised when he failed to come back and authorities realised his phone was turned off.
