Body of woman is found in WELL near airport in southern Spain: Police make arrest as they race to establish cause of death and investigation remains ‘confidential’

A PERSON has been arrested after the body of a woman was found buried deep in a well in southern Spain.

Policia Nacional recovered the corpse from an agricultural irrigation well near to Jerez Airport, in Cadiz on Sunday.

The identity of the body has yet to be certified, reports Andalucia Informacion.

The grisly discovery was made by a huge police operation that took place on Sunday morning, suggesting they had received information about where to find the body.

An autopsy is now scheduled to take place in Cadiz in the hopes of revealing how the woman died.

Soil specialists have also been brought in to assist the investigation.

However further details of the police investigation have been declared ‘confidential’, reports local press.
