The series of concerts in the picturesque setting of the Bodegas González Byass in Jerez is back.
From July 1- August 31, you can expect powerhouse concerts from grandees, phenomenal flamenco performances, and even a comedy cycle. The outdoor setting between the palms, and inside the old winery walls, is nice place to spend a hot evening.
Tom Jones will sing and, doubtless, get knickers thrown at him, on July 30. He is able to work up quite a sweat under the best of circumstances, so this should be interesting.
Other highlights include Rubén Blades, the politician turned entertainer, on July 15.
Spain’s favourite Malú will take to the stage on July 22, while Raphael makes a pre-Christmas outing, for two special nights on July 28 and 29.
Pastora Soler is the hot ticket on July 23, and the extremely popular and suave, Andrés Suárez, should sell out quickly for August 5.
US band Ben Harper & The Innocent Criminals has been going for a couple of decades but their eclectic bluesy rock with a smattering of slide guitar goes down very well with audiences in Spain. They’re playing on July 25. For full schedule and details of flamenco and comedy line-ups as well as tickets, visit the Tio Pepe Festival site.
