FOUR men concluded a late-night argument in Novelda by running over a rival gang member with their car.
Local Guardia Civil revealed that the driver then went to reverse over the victim, but a quick-thinking pal pushed him to safety between two other vehicles.
As if being run over wasn’t enough, a passenger then attacked the victim’s car with a hoe.
Despite knowing each other, witnesses would only provide basic details of the vehicle used, as well as the partial name of one of the attackers.
Full identity was only obtained after days of investigation, after which four men aged between 18 and 36, were tracked down.
Three were already well-known to police, living in the Alicante towns of Agost and San Vicent del Raspeig.
The quartet were arrested for the alleged participation in a crime of serious injury, with the use of a motor vehicle, and another crime of damage.
Novelda Guard Court decreed the release of all four until their pending trial
