BREAKING: British expat pensioner shot after standing up to armed robbers in his villa on Spain’s Costa del Sol

Breaking

A MANHUNT is underway for two armed robbers who shot a British pensioner on the Costa del Sol this morning.

The two men fled the scene of the attempted robbery on Mijas Costa at around 8.30am.

The 70-year-old Brit reportedly stood up to the robbers when they entered his luxury villa in the Chaparral area.

One of the suspects then shot him in his thigh before they both fled, without taking anything of value.

Police and paramedics rushed to the scene after reports of gunfire were made to the 112 emergency service.

Medics arrived to find the Brit on the floor with a bullet wound to his thigh.

He has been transferred to a medical centre for treatment.

The Judicial Police and Guardia Civil have taken over the investigation.
