THREE people have been arrested over an alleged gang rape of a 16-year-old girl in Gandia.
It’s the third group rape of a teenager in Valencia Province within three weeks after attacks on girls aged 14 and 15.
One of those detained in the Gandia incident was aged under 18.
The assaults happened last Saturday afternoon (October 17) on the outskirts of the coastal city at La Safor.
The victim was allegedly drugged during a drinking session and the attack was recorded on mobile phones and distributed via instant messaging networks.
The teenager somehow got to the Francesc de Borja Hospital in Gandia and told doctors what had happened to her.
Sexual assault protocols were activated and the Policia Nacional tracked down the suspects within 24 hours.
