Benidorm Copper Goes On An Off Duty Run And Catches A Crook On Spain S Costa Blanca

AN OFF-DUTY Benidorm policeman chased down a 31-year-old man who used a counterfeit note in a bar.

The Policia Nacional agent was out for a run when he saw a waiter pursuing the man.

The bar worker had been palmed off with a fake €50 note when the man paid his drinks bill,

His ruse was rumbled and he ran off without bargaining for the off-duty agent who caught up with him to make an arrest.

The agent called his Policia Nacional colleagues to the scene and they discovered around €1,000 in fake notes in the man’s possession.

Investigations are now centred on whether he was acting alone and how many Benidorm businesses he had scammed with his counterfeit con.
