Body recovered off beach after floating ‘for several days’ out at sea on Spain’s Costa del Sol

Breaking

A BODY has been recovered after being spotted in the waters off the Costa del Sol this evening.

The corpse is believed to have been at sea for several days before being seen by a beach-goer in Torremolinos.

The lifeless body was called in at around 6:30pm when a swimmer first witnessed it floating some 50 metres from the shore on El Bajondillo beach.

Once the body was recovered, Guardia Civil said it was transferred to the port of Benalmadena on a Maritime Rescue boat.

An autopsy will now be performed to try and establish cause of death.
