THE Junta has launched an initiative which offers complementary vouchers for residents in Andalucia.
The tourist voucher, which began this Thursday and will be valid until May 31, will subsidise up to 50% of expenses in hotels and restaurants in the Autonomous Community of Andalucia, with a maximum of €300 euros per three-night break and an upper limit of three trips.

Thanks to the tourist voucher, families with an income of less than €20,000 will be given a special discount
This initiative, announced by Junta Vice President, Juan Marin, will have an initial budget of €9 million.
The main beneficiary will be families with incomes of less than 20,000 euros, as they will be eligible for the maximum 50% discount.
The voucher must be processed in travel agencies and companies that have the Andalucia Segura seal.
Once the holiday is completed, the next step will be to present the invoice provided by the establishment in any official register of the Andalucian Regional Government in person or virtually.
After verification, the current account will be credited with 25 or 50% – depending on the income – of the expense of the trip.
Marin said that the aim is to ‘promote tourist mobility’ ‘help families’ and ‘support’ the tourism sector in Andalucia at a ‘very difficult time’.
Since the announcement of this initiative, the number of agencies and sales points has risen from 72 to 923 (a 1,182% increase) and, in the case of accommodation, from 438 to 872 (almost 100% more).
