THE first storm of the winter season has arrived with Malaga being placed on yellow alert.

Storm Alex will bring strong gusts of wind from this afternoon and waves of up to three metres tomorrow.

AEMET has announced a yellow warning for strong coastal conditions Friday in the Axarquia, Guadalhorce Valley and along the Costa del Sol.

Meanwhile Ronda and the Axarquia are on yellow alert for strong winds, with force seven gusts expected to reach up to 70km/hr.

The storm will come with a cold front, which will see temperatures drop in parts of Andalucia from this afternoon with some light spots of rain in inland areas.

Malaga city’s high of 32C today will drop to 27C tomorrow before falling again to 24C on Saturday.

In Ronda the temperatures will plummet even further with highs of 19C on Saturday.

Along the Costa del Sol and in the Axarquia the mercury will fall to between 25C and 27C.
