Police Stop Beach Baptism Celebration That Flouted Covid 19 Rules On Spain S Costa Blanca

POLICE broke up a baptism on an Alicante beach as guest numbers broke COVID-19 rules.

Agents were carrying out a routine patrol on Playa Almadraba when they stumbled across a tent and around 30 people involved in the baptism ceremony on Sunday lunchtime(September 20).

Health laws prevent gatherings of more than ten people in the Valencian Community.

Alicante’s security councillor, Jose Ramon Gonzalez, said:

“We just can’t afford to let our guard down as the infection rate continues to grow.”

He added that the police had answered over 100 complaints during the weekend over illegal parties and people not wearing masks.
