Spain registers 27,404 COVID-19 cases over weekend

Breaking

SPAIN has registered 27,404 new COVID-19 cases by PCR since Friday.

According to the Ministry of Health, 3,023 of these were detected in the past 24 hours.

The majority of cases declared on Monday were in Madrid (910), Aragon (401) and the Basque Country (288).

Catalunya has reported just one case of coronavirus in the past 24 hours.

Meanwhile Spain has seen 101 deaths from the virus since Friday, bringing the total death toll to 29,848.

This figure does not include deaths in care homes or from people who had symptoms of the virus but died before taking a PCR test.
