A WOMAN is believed to have committed suicide by jumping off a bridge on a motorway in Mallorca.
The woman – who has yet to be identified – passed away after apparently jumping from a bridge on the Llucmajor motorway in a suspected suicide.
The incident occurred around 7:30am this morning.
Near the exit for Coll d’en Rabassa is where the tragedy took place.
Several cars swerved in order to avoid the body, but one crashed into her and overturned, injuring the couple that was inside.
Emergency Services, Policia Nacional, Guardia Civil and firefighters were at the scene along with five SAMU-061 ambulances.
Two of the three lanes on the motorway were closed, causing a backlog of traffic.
The reasons behind her decision to end her own life have yet to be revealed.
