A MAN has been left stunned after finding a foetus while taking out the rubbish in Spain.

The Madrid local discovered the foetus, which measured between five and seven centimetres, last Friday.

He was putting his bins out in the up-and-coming Malasaña neighbourhood of Madrid at around 10.30pm.

The grisly find was discovered in a wheelie bin where Calle Palma meets with Calle Costanilla de San Vicente.

According to El Mundo, the man noticed a small plastic bag inside the bin, with bloodstains next to it.

It was then he looked inside and made the horrific find.

He called Policia Nacional immediately.

They have taken over the routine investigation.
