TWO suspects are on the run after allegedly carrying out a fresh shooting on the Costa del Sol.
Policia Nacional are on the hunt for the men, believed to have shot and killed a man in a car park in Cabopino within the last hour or so.
According to reports, the suspects sped off on the toll road at full speed, breaking through one of the barriers in the Calahonda area heading towards Malaga.
They were driving a blue Renault Megane rental car, which according to reports, has already been found dumped and set alight in Mijas.
The British expat who first reported the shooting to this paper, says she has been left shaken after seeing the dead body as she left the scene in her car.
The expat had arrived at Da Bruno’s in Cabopino, Marbella, to collect a takeaway order.
However minutes after arriving she claimed staff became panicked and said someone had been shot and killed in the car park by the restaurant.
The expat remained in the eatery until police arrived at the scene just minutes later.
The woman, who lives nearby and asked not to be named, hurried to her car and drove home.
“I saw a body on the floor as I drove away,” she told the Olive Press tonight, “But it was about 50 metres away from me, I couldn’t tell you anything about the person.”
The expat added she was glad she hadn’t arrived sooner.
“Imagine if I had interrupted the shooting or if I had seen it, I would have been absolutely petrified.
“It’s awful that these shootings seem to be happening much more frequently.”
When the Olive Press contacted Da Bruno’s, a waiter said he could not confirm or ‘say anything’ after consulting his manager.
The fresh shooting comes just days after Briton Peter Andrew Williamson was shot dead outside his home in Mijas.
Police believe that killing was also gang-related.
