GUARDIA Civil have arrested two men aged 25 and 26 in Madrid on crimes of sexual abuse after they convinced five minors the end of the world was nigh.

The men – who called themselves ‘God’ and ‘Death’ – contacted their victims via social media before urging them to save themselves from annihilation by ‘consummating our sexual desires’.

The alleged abusers then began exchanging intimate photographs to maintain relationships with the girls. They also encouraged their victims to photograph other minors in vulnerable situations.

Throughout the operation – dubbed Operation Brinca – five victims have been identified, leading to seven charges of sexual abuse and four charges of inciting sexual interaction through social media.

One of the alleged perpetrators had recently completed a teaching degree and was applying to access the education system.
