THREE men are arrested for violence against women on average in Malaga each week, according to the latest statistics.
The latest figures from the police also show that at least one man a week is arrested for crimes such as breaching a restraining order.
Each year there are about 1,000 follow-up cases, of which an average of more than 500 tend to remain active.
Annually around 3,500 women contact the authorities to report domestic violence and around 400 one on one interviews,
The stats were published in accordance with the International Elimination of Violence against Women Day.
