A VIDEO purporting to show a shootout on the streets of the Costa del Sol has gone viral on social media today.

The clip shows several cars pulled up on a roundabout while one man charges towards another firing off several rounds from what appears to be a shotgun.

Cars can be heard beeping their horns as a black car makes its escape.

Several Facebook sites shared the video, claiming it was from the shooting which happened a few days ago near the Andasol urbanisation.

It has since received hundreds of shares and comments.

However the Olive Press can confirm the video is in fact from another shooting in Tripoli, Lebanon.

A quick google map search reveals the roundabout in the video is nowhere to be seen near the vicinity of this week’s shooting, or in fact in Marbella at all.

Meanwhile the exact same footage was released before this week’s shooting on Arabic media, reporting it as being in Tripoli.
