SIX examiners on Benidorm’s Policía Local selection board are under investigation after one candidate spotted other aspirants cheating on a written exam.
The candidate made a denuncia in October last year suggesting that examiners must have leaked the answer sheet prior to the exam.
The six members of the selection board have now been requested to appear in Benidorm’s Court of Instruction no.4 in January next year – with the original exam documents – facing potential crimes of infidelity in the custody of documents.
The invigilator present in the original exam has also been asked to appear as a witness.
It comes after Benidorm mayor Toni Pérez removed the six examiners and declared the tests’ results invalid following last year’s denuncia.
Policía Local had opened 15 positions within the force but the selection process has been paralysed for over a year awaiting court proceedings.
