A BODY of a man has been found dumped in a ditch on the Costa del Sol.

The corpse was found yesterday on the A-716 road, which connects Marbella and Istan.

According to sources, the body had at least four bullet wounds, most of them in the stomach.

The body of the man, who was from Bulgaria, was found at around 9.45am.

It came after it was spotted by a passerby.

The corpse has been taken to the Clinical Hospital Malaga for testing in a bid to determine the trajectory of the fatal bullets, three of which hit his stomach while another pierced his arm.

There will also be an autopsy performed this week.

Policia Nacional have taken over the investigation.
