THE body of a man has been found rotting in his home after passing away more than a week ago.

The 60-year-old resident, known only as JMF, is believed to have died on October 10.

Neighbours sounded the alarm yesterday after noticing a strong, foul smell emanating from the home on Calle Vivar Tellez in Velez-Malaga.

Policia Nacional rushed to the scene but had to call in firefighters to help break the door down.

The cause of death is believed to be natural however a routine autopsy is being performed.

Sources say the resident had only lived in the property for a few years and hadn’t made close friends, hence his death went unnoticed.
