WATCH: Footage of huge fire in hills of Spain’s Costa del Sol as locals warned to ‘get somewhere safe’

THIS is believed to be footage taken near the fire currently blazing in the hills behind the Costa del Sol.

The blaze is believed to have erupted at around 9pm this evening in the area behind the Aldea Hills urbanisation in Manilva.

The fire is on the San Enrique side of the AP7.

At least 30 firefighters have been dispatched to tackle the blaze.

It comes as Proteccion Civil Estepona has warned anyone living or finding themselves near the blaze to get to safety.

“If you are in the area, get yourself to a safe place, collaborate and be patient,” the body said.

The cause of the fire is not yet known.
