BREAKING: Huge fire erupts on Spain's Costa del Sol - Olive Press News Spain

A LARGE fire has broken out on the Costa del Sol in an area popular with holidaymakers.

The blaze, which can be seen for miles has released a huge trail of black smoke.

The fire’s reported location above Aldea Hills (credit: Chris Hughson)

Early reports suggest that the incident in the campo above the Aldea Hills urbanization started at around 11:11pm.

The fire is on the San Enrique side of the AP7.

At least 30 INFOCA firefighters have been dispatched to tackle the blaze.

RESPONSE: Infoca has sent 30 forest fire fire fighters to battle the blaze

Manilva and Estepona bomberos are also assisting the extinction efforts.

British holidaymaker Paul Neale was enjoying a night time walk in Estepona when he saw the blaze.

He told the Olive Press he ‘couldn’t believe it’.
