THE polls have opened for Gibraltar’s snap general election today as Boris Johnson has claimed he ‘has a Brexit deal’ with the EU.
Gibraltarians have 15 polling stations to choose from in total, with five new sites for these elections.
The Catalan Bay Social Club is among the sites being used as polling stations for the first time.
The others include the Laguna Estate Social Club, the former Westside school building and the Bayside drama studio.
The result of these election is expected after 10pm tonight, but may not be announced until the early hours of Friday morning.

- Plater Youth Club – Castle Road (Entrance via Tarik Road)

- GASA, Europort Avenue
- Brownies’ Hut – Canton House, VBE
- Mid-Harbour Social Centre – Mid-Harbour Estate, Blue Wave House
- Gibraltar Youth Centre – Montagu Bastion, Line Wall Road
- Senior Citizens Social Club – Town Range
- Ince’s Hall Complex – Main Street
- Central Hall – North Pavilion Road
- Central Hall – North Pavilion Road
- Dolphin’s Youth Club – Rosia Road

For the first time there will be 25 counting rooms at John Mackintosh Hall tonight as opposed to the usual average of 20, so expect a fast result.
