A SPANISH politician pinned a wanted thief up against a wall after witnessing a robbery in Sevilla.
Beltran Perez, spokesman for the Partido Popular (PP) in Sevilla, held the criminal until police arrived.
He had been riding on a motorcycle with his press officer, filming the state of roads in the area, when he saw a woman chasing after a man on a bicycle, who she said had just robbed her.
Perez jumped off the motorbike and intervened to help the woman.
When police arrived, it transpired that the 50-year-old thief was wanted by the authorities and had three charges pending against him.
