RICHTER: The quake reached 2.9 degrees

AN earthquake measuring 2.9 degrees on the Richter scale shook Agron on Friday morning.

At 9:46am it struck the Granada town – but fortunately no individual or property was damaged.

It had a depth of zero kilometres, making it quite a minor one.

Only a single resident telephoned the emergency services to inform them about the earth tremor.

It comes after February’s earthquake which rocked Andalucia, with the epicentre of the quake being in Cuevas de Almanzora in the Almeria province.
