EXTRA training is being provided to the authorities to deal with illegal vehicles that are plaguing the streets of Malaga.

The Unified Association of Civil Guards (AUGC) underwent sessions together with the collaboration of ARGOS and BENEPOL, in which some fifty agents from different security bodies, including civil guards, national police and local police, both from Malaga and other parts of Spain, participated in the training.

The course, held in Torremolinos, has been showing officers how to recognise illegal vehicles.

“There are thousands of vehicles stolen throughout Europe that circulate illegally on our roads,” a spokesman from AUGC said.

“It is often difficult to detect them, since the organised mafia who steal them are always able to innovate to outwit the security forces, falsifying the documentation that proves the ownership of the vehicle to be able to move safely and not be detected.”
