A HOTEL in Spain has received global attention for banning men from its premises. 

The Som Dona Hotel, in Mallorca, is a four-star resort featuring modern rooms, communal areas, beach pool, rooftop terrace and a stunning spa suite.

But only women and girls aged 14 and above will be able to enjoy the unique offering, as male guests are strictly forbidden.

Due to Spanish anti-discrimination laws, however, the hotel is required to employ both male and female staff.

The 39 rooms are going for between €79 and €159 per night.

According to Insider, the room welcomes women of all sexual orientations, though it is perfect for girl groups, mother-daughter retreats or just a really relaxed space for female solo travellers.
