POLICIA Nacional have seized almost 700kg of cocaine in an operation in the Estepona vicinity.
Copius amounts of the white power were located at an apartment, with the authorities arresting four members of s criminal organisation – two Morrocans, a Spaniard and a Dutchman, all of which are suspected of drug trafficking.
In an official statement, police say that the gang was operating via boats between Africa and Spain, importing the controlled substance into Spain, before distributing to Europe, mainly Holland.
As well as the alleged crooks being obtained, police have impounded four vehicles and around €40,000 in cash.
The suspects are currently being held in Estepona, at the disposal of the courts.
